Abstract
Heterogeneous geneticprofilesof Helicobacter pylori are con- sidered askeycomponentsofhost-pathogen-environmenttriad interaction andplaycrucialrolesinthegastriccarcinogenesis [1]. Persistent colonisationandmaintenanceof H. pylori in theharsh environment ofthestomachareattributedtoaseriesofvirulence determinants. Twopotentpolymorphicsecretorytoxins; vacA and cagA and thefunctionallyactiveadhesin babA2 are identifiedasthe more decisivevirulencemarkersinthedevelopmentofthemore severe diseaseoutcomes.
